priscilla  thomas

Priscilla Thomas, nee Petrulovich, passed peacefully Saturday, February 25th at the age of eighty-four. She was born in Holidays Cove, Weirton WV, the daughter of Adam and Mary Petrulovich.

Graduating from Follansbee High School, 1956. Priscilla went on to become an Operating Room Nurse after graduating from Montefiore School for Nursing, in 1959.

Priscilla is survived by her 3 children and 6 grandchildren with her ex-husband, D. Michael Thomas(deceased); David M. Thomas II, wife Angie, and children Jaret, Reagan, and Mallory, of Cordova, TN, Sally Thomas, children Kinsley and Tristen (Pittsburgh), and Dawn Lynn Thomas, son Matthew, (Pittsburgh). Beloved sister of her siblings, Adam Adams (deceased) (wife Doreen, deceased), their children Dianne Adams Bisselle and Robert Adams (deceased), brother Robert Petrulovich (wife Sarah, deceased), daughter Nancy Lee, and sister Helen Petrulovich (Deceased.).

She lived in numerous cities before settling in Thornburg PA, where she learned to play gin and bridge and became an avid golfer having 2 holes in one over her lifetime. Priscilla spent her later years in West Palm Beach, Fl, and Memphis, TN with her companion, Monte Whightsil (deceased). Priscilla became the first-ever female full-voting golf member at Colonial Country Club in Tennessee. She traveled extensively in her later years, but always missed the hometown Pittsburgh food such as pierogies, hot stuffed banana peppers, and fried zucchini. Priscilla often said, “I’ve lived a wonderful life, enjoyed myself, and had a lot of fun”, and “ I didn’t do too bad for a little girl from West Virginia”.

She was always a very kind and special person. She will be missed.

Friends are invited to visit Priscilla’s family at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV., 26062 on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 10 am until the time of 11 am Service.

Reverend Michael L. Heckathorn will officiate.

Friends and family are welcome to join the family at the Chartiers Country Club 601 Baldwin Road, Pittsburgh, PA., 15205 for a luncheon at 1:00 pm.
