Raymond J. Washam

Raymond J. Washam, 67, of Weirton, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born in San Francisco, CA on July 3, 1935. Raymond was a self-employed Consultant for Instrumentation. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and A.A.R.P. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Raymond is survived by his wife, Shirley (Gaydos) Washam of Weirton, whom he married on October 17, 1987; two daughters, Terri Landeis (Carey) of Puyallup, WA and Tammi Washam (Kelley) of Bonney Lake, WA; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, Frances Gaydos of Weirton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Darlene Gaydos of New Cumberland; and nephew, Keith Gaydos of New Cumberland. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where a Wake Service will be held 3 PM Wednesday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Diabetes Association, 1221-A Ohio Avenue, Box 1115, Dunbar, WV 25064, or St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
