Raymond Kenneth Bragg
August 23, 1938 ~ March 2, 2006
Raymond Kenneth “Junior” Bragg, 67, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, March 02, 2006 at his home. Born August 23, 1938 in Four States, WV, he was the eldest son of the late Raymond and Anna Doris Floyd Bragg.
Junior retired from The City of Weirton and was a former WV coalminer. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the American Legion Post 10. He was inducted into the Pony League Baseball Hall of Fame and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show for his efforts as a catcher (#13) in the league. He served in Korea with the US Army during the Korean conflict.
Junior’s survivors include his wife Rosemarie (Bejczi) Bragg of Weirton; son Raymond Kenneth Bragg, Jr.; daughters Angela Bragg, Roseanne Allen and her fiance' Robert LaRosa all of Weirton and Lisa Cooper and her husband Larry of Follansbee, WV; brothers Donald Bragg and his wife Linda of Fairmont, WV, Randy Bragg and his wife Brenda of Mannington, WV and Rick Bragg and his wife Deborah of Cottondale, Alabama; sisters Jean Coleman of Monongah, WV, Dorothy Harbert and her husband James of Four States, WV, Wanda Harbert of Worthington, WV and Sherry Puccio and her husband Anthony of Monongah, WV and one granddaughter Kandice Bragg of Follansbee, WV.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday 1-3 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a Vigil service will be held 2:30PM Sunday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton where military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and the Weirton Honor Guard.

My brother, Richard and I were just talking about Junior and his brothers and sisters on Thursday night. Junior was always kind to me as I grew up. God Bless his wife and children. I will hold them in my prayers. I pray that God’s precious love will provide strength at this most difficult time. Junior’s mother and my grandmother were sisters.
