Rev. Russell Dempsey (Jack) Fetty, 83, of Weirton passed into the Lord’s presence on Sunday, November 24, 2002. He was born May 17, 1919 in Pleasants County, WV to Charles W. and Nancy Bailey Fetty. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. As a young man, he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Richwood, WV. He also drove public school bus in West Virginia for 16 years. Rev. Fetty was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1954. Rev. Fetty served the Lord as Senior Pastor in several Nazarene churches in West Virginia. Among them: Eskdale, Congo, Wheeling First, and Follansbee. He traveled as an evangelist for two years in the tri-state area. He also served interim pastorates at the Wellsburg, Chester, Weirton First, Paris (PA), and Wheeling Marwin Churches of the Nazarene, Kings Creek Chapel and Kolmont Ohio Community Church. Most recently, he was the Associate Pastor of Visitation at the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Eileen Cooper Fetty; two children, Russell Edward (Debbie) of Norco, LA and Nancy Mae (Kenneth) Hall of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Archie Fetty of Weirton and Don Fetty of Belmont, WV; three sisters, Micha Tennant of Wellsburg, WV, Elinor North of Reno, OH, and Velma Hall of St. Marys, WV; several nieces, nephews, cousins – and a host of loved ones that were like family to him. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6 pm to 8 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene on Colliers Way in Weirton. He will lie in state on Wednesday from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at the church. Interment at Paris Cemetery, Paris, PA. Share tributes with his family at www.grecohertnick.com.   2. My prayers are with you all at this time. Uncle Jack was a warrior of the cross and served Him faithfully. I alwayed injoyed talking to him at the church he will be missed at the church and on the District. Sorry I’m not able to be there do to services at the church. Milo Baker
