Rex McCullough

Rex McCullough, 82, of Colliers, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1920 in Central Station, WV, son of the late John William and Anna Pennelope Merrit McCullough. Rex was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest “Push” McCullough and Clifford McCullough; one sister Stella McCullough Hogue.
Rex retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a coil hauler in the Tin Mill. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church. He also served his country in the US Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Clara V. Monroe McCullough of Colliers; sons Randy M. McCullough and his wife Sue of Colliers and Ricky A. McCullough and his wife Debra of Weirton; daughter Rexenna A. Jones and her husband Luther of Bloomingdale, OH; brother Carl McCullough of Greenwood, WV; sister Ruby Wilson of Harrisville, WV; 2 grandchildren, Rex William McCullough and Robert A. McCullough and his wife Heather; 2 great-grandchildren, Joshlynn R. McCullough and Chance D. McCullough; one step great-grandchild Ein Guzzo.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday with Rev. Marvin Taylor presiding. Interment will be at the Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV where military services will be conducted by the Weirton V. F.W. Post 2716 Firing Squad, the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
