Richard Castillo, 72, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 11, 1932 in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jose' and Maria Rodriguez Castillo. Richard was also preceded in death by his brother Joseph. After 32 years of service, Richard retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the Welding Shop. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, V.F.W. 2716 and the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club. Richard served in the Navy during the Korean War. Richard’s survivors include his wife Anita (DeLuca) Castillo of Weirton; sons Richard J. Castillo of Dayton, OH and Robert M. Castillo of Canton, OH; daughter Lisa M. McDonald of Bloomingdale, OH; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother Anthony Castillo and sister Elaine Castillo both of Weirton. Friends will be received Thursday from 5-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
