Richard J. Hvizdak, 77, of Weirton passed away on Saturday April 27, 2013. He was born on October 11, 1935 in Weirton, WV, a son of the late, Mike and Ida Rakowski Hvizdak. Rich was a self employed contractor, and in recent years he worked at Busy Beaver and managed Oakland Trailer Park. When he was not working, Rich loved to Polka. He also enjoyed camping, watching high school and professional football especially the Cleveland Browns. Reading his Bible daily and spending time with his family were also very important to him. He was a member of the Weirton Covenant Church, and the Eagle Lodge 344. Rich is survived by his wife, Anna Mazza McRoberts Hvizdak, whom he married on July 30, 1988; his three sons, Richard J. (Kim) and Robert Hvizdak all of Weirton, WV and Mark (Meg) Hvizdak of Hopewell, PA ; four daughters, Michelle (David) Craig of Bethesda, OH, Rachelle (Art) Sidone of Elizabeth, PA, Jacque (Bob) Daigle of Imperial, PA, and Cindy (Collin) Rooney of Upper Saint Clair, PA; a brother, Michael (Patty) Hvizdak of Plant City, FL; two sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Salvati of New Manchester, WV, and Marcia (Larry) Shane of Weirton, WV; three step children, Theresa (Don) Leppley of Alexandria, VA, Samuel Martin McRoberts of Fredericktown, PA and Leonard (Tina) McRoberts of Irondale, OH; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Wednesday at the Weirton Covenant Church, Weirton. Elder Michael Smith will preside. Interment will follow at the Saint Paul Cemetery, Weirton Share tributes and memories at www.grecohertnick.com
