Mr. Richard T. "Rick" Welch

Richard T. “Rick” Welch, passed away suddenly on March 28, 2023, following complications of a heart catheterization. He was 67 years old.

Rick was born on March 15, 1956, in Weirton, West Virginia, the first of two children born to Harry and Martha Waugh Welch.

Rick graduated from Weir High School in 1974 and continued his education at Belmont College. Rick went on to have a career in Retail Sales before retiring.

Rick was a man of simple pleasures. He loved spending time with his mother on their weekly date nights. He had a passion for collecting model trains and could often be found watching them or reading about them. Rick also loved to go fishing, especially at Tappan Lake and Tomlinson Run, where he enjoyed the tranquility of nature.

Though quiet and shy, Rick had a dry sense of humor that never failed to elicit a smile from those around him.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Harry Welch, Jr.

Rick is survived by his wife, Wendy, his mother, Martha, his sister, Patty(David) Kins, and his nephews, Ryan and Jeremy Kins.
