Robert D. "Bibber" Malloy

Robert D. "Bibber" Malloy, 80, of Weirton, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1923 in East Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Dudley and Bridget Della (Naughton) Malloy. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Patrick, Joseph, and Francis Malloy; and three sisters, Mary McKelvey, Helen McNulty, and Anne Wambaugh.
Robert worked for Edgar Thompson Steel Corp. in Braddock, PA for 10 years, and then worked for Kaiser Steel in Fontana, CA in the Plate Mill where he worked as a plate hooker for 26 years before retiring in 1983. He served his country in the Navy during WWII. Robert was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton; lifetime member of the VFW Post #5008 in East Pittsburgh; member of the American Legion Post #0772 in Fontana, CA; and member of A.A.R.P.
Robert is survived by his wife, Domenica "Minnie" (Brancazio) Malloy of Weirton, whom he married on June 14, 1985; one brother, Thomas "Timmer" Malloy of East Pittsburgh; one sister, Catherine Rita Henry of East Pittsburgh; two sisters-in-law, Ann Malloy of North Huntington, PA and Mary A. Brancazio of Weirton; two brothers-in-law, Dominic "Tom" Brancazio and his wife Gerry of Bedford Heights, OH and Patsy T. Brancazio and his wife Marie of Weirton; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday November 22 from 9 AM until time of memorial mass at 10 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton. Military services will be performed by VFW #2716, American Legion Post #10, and Tri-State Marine Corps. Burial will held 11 AM Monday November 24 at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles, PA.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Building Fund, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062. Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV is handling the arrangements.
