Robert Donald Nau

Robert Donald Nau, 88, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Liza's Place, Wheeling. Born February 26, 1923 in Wheeling, he was a son of the late Emil F and Angela Chapman Nau. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy P. Nau and brother Ronald Nau.
Mr. Nau was an electrical foreman for Weirton Steel. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Steel Choral Society, where he served as the emcee, Dorothy Nau Memorial Choir, Knights of Columbus 3734 and K of C Fourth Degree Assembly. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Nau is survived by his wife Mary Catherine Heil Nau of Wheeling; daughter Ann A. Nester and her husband Frank of Ravenswood, WV; step-sons Richard O'Brien and his wife Rose of Frisco, CO and David O'Brien and his wife Alice of Cherry Hill, NJ; step-daughter Christine Stenger and her husband Thomas of Wheeling; grandchildren Jeremy and Stefani Nester, Colleen McDonough, Sean O'Brien, Allen and Elizabeth Stenger, Kathleen and Christine O'Brien, Corey and James Pray and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
