Robert E. (Bob) Coen, formerly of Weirton, WV, 95, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022, at the Cornerstone Hospice, Ocoee, FL. Born on April 30, 1927, in Steubenville, OH, Bob was the son of the late Herbert M. Coen and Edna Coen Anderson. Bob proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy aboard the USS PC 1136 from 1945-1946. He was employed at Weirton Steel and retired after 50 years of service as a crane operator. Bob was a member of the WSX 25 Year Club and the Weirton Lions Club, and he nourished his faith as a parishioner at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Jo Henrion Coen, and his step-father, Raymond (Butch) Anderson. Bob is survived by his three daughters, Sharon (Chuck) Henry of Wellsburg, WV, Judie (Jim) Vierbicky Binder of Oakland, FL, and Marijo (Pat) McCune of Powell, OH; Seven grandchildren, Steven Henry of Wellsburg, WV, Sara (Corey) Roche of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew Henry of Wellsburg, WV, Aaron (Deanna) Vierbicky of Orlando, FL, Acacia Vierbicky of Winter Garden, FL, Annie (Nathan) Dye of Ft. Thomas, KY and Jim (Brittney) McCune of Powell, OH; Lastly GG Papa is survived by his nine great-grandchildren, Trey, Virginia, CJ, Henry, Aralyn, Adler, Maevyn, Rooney and Bergen, as well as two step great-granddaughters, Hudson and Elle, and his feline friend that he absolutely adored, Aunt B. His family fondly remembers that along with listening to Frank Sinatra and drinking milkshakes, Dad enjoyed photography, watching and feeding the birds, and tinkering in his workshop where he created many of what our family likes to call “Bobifications.” We will miss him dearly! Services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH. Arrangements are under the care of Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cure HHT, P.O.
