Roger A. Harbert, Sr., of Weirton, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Weirton Medical Center. He was seventy years old.
He was born in New Martinsville, WV., on July 21, 1953, a son of Roger V. and Emma Nolan Harbert.
Roger was a graduate of Weir High and retired from the Diesel Shop of Weirton Steel.
He spent many days during his life hunting and fishing in his beloved Tyler County WV. His personality was what separated him from most, he was always known as “The Life of the Party!”
His family describes him as a tough cookie, especially on the outside, but he was a loving man on the inside with a heart of gold.
Roger enjoyed watching people and their actions, he also spent time cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU Mountaineers.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter Andrea Julian, and brother Kevin Harbert.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Joretta Richard Harbert of Weirton, his son Roger A. Harbert, Jr., and step-daughter Stacey Holt Clifton of Weirton and his sister Anita Harbert of Parkersburg, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Roger’s request for cremation has been honored.
