Ronald E. (DoBug) Brown

Ronald E. (DoBug) Brown, 70, of Weirton, passed away in his home on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Born July 2, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of the late Chester and Edna Lucille Turner Brown. Ronald was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Brown of Weirton, WV, and a sister, Patricia Brown Carter of Cleveland, OH.
Ronald proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Local #809 of the Laborers International Union of North America, Steubenville, OH.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 21 years, Corliss McGee Brown; daughter, Ayishih Hakim (Todd) Bellow of St. Thomas, VI; two sons, Abayomi Hakim of Cary NC, and Antar Collins of St. Thomas, VI; eight grandchildren, Kaleb, Kezziah, Kayla, and Kristopher Bellew, and Sonrissa, Darius, and Solyce Collins, all of St. Thomas, VI, and Shea Hakim of Cary, NC; a niece, Carla Lovejoy; and a nephew, Theodore Carter of Cleveland, OH.
At the request of Ronald, there will be no visitation or funeral. He chose to graciously donate his body to medical research.
Donations in his honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer society.

My Dad was a great guy. We call him “Hakim”. He was always someone to look on the bright side of things and always had an encouraging word or thought. He makes me laugh even now when I begin to think of the memories and his free spirited ways. We love you and will always remember you with kind, warm thoughts of love.
