Ronald H. Culler, 76, of Weirton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Born on March 13, 1948, he was a son of Frank and Marylene Thomas Culler.
A proud graduate of Weir High School, Class of 1966, Ronald dedicated 44 years of his life to the Weirton Steel Corporation, working as a Clerk. He was also a valued member of the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club. Ronald served his country with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War, embodying the spirit of service and dedication that continued throughout his life.
After retirement, Ronald enjoyed life to the fullest, spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren, using this cherished time to keep him young.
His Sundays were sacred, spent cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He always had a jigsaw puzzle on the table, symbolizing his love for simple joys. A favorite family story recounts when Ronald borrowed his son William’s 13-inch TV to watch Super Bowl XXX at work in 1996, showcasing his commitment to both family and football.
Ronald’s love for music was deeply rooted in the sounds of the Beach Boys and the oldies, music that brought him comfort and joy throughout the years. He was also a proud supporter of his sons’ musical journey, especially cherishing their time performing with the Weir High Band.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers Chuck and Gary Culler.
Cherishing Ron’s memory are his sons Frank (Pam) Culler and William (Jennifer) Culler, all of Weirton; grandchildren Dylan, Derrick, Wyatt, and Daniel Culler; brother Jim (Vicki) Culler; and sisters Kathy Hall and Trudy Kester, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Friends may visit with Ron’s family on Thursday, October 3, from 2 -4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, at 11 AM.
Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate.
Burial will immediately follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
**Rest in peace, Ronald. May the music play on, and the Steelers always win.**
