Ronald L. Dye, Sr.

Ronald L. Dye, Sr., 69, of Weirton, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born November 25, 1940 in Wallace, WV, he was a son of the late Golden and Wilma Swiger Dye. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Doris Brady and Patty Hussel.
With 30 years of service, Ronald retired from Standard LaFarge Weirton Plant, where he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of the Church of God.
Mr. Dye is survived by his wife Betty Carr Dye of Weirton; sons George Dye, Sr., Ronald Dye, Jr. both of Weirton and Mark Dye of Wallace, WV; daughters Crystal Gajtka and her husband James of Weirton, April Courneya of Minnesota and Melissa Daughtery of Latrobe, PA; sister Judy Pigget of Wallace, WV; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated at 11AM Friday. The Reverend Larry E. Barkley will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Betty, I just wanted to send my prayers for you and your family, you may not remember me but I use to live across the street from you on Front Street. You use to make me hot rolls all the time. I was about 6yrs. old then. God Bless you and your family. Vickie Monroe-Utt.
