Ronald Stillwagoner,67, of Toronto, OH, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Weirton, WV.
Born on October 3, 1956, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Betty Jane Hostuttler Stillwagoner.
At the tender age of three months, Ronald’s family moved to Weirton, WV, where he would go on to build a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ronnie was a dedicated provider, initially working at Fort Steuben Metals before finding his passion as a truck driver for Weir Cove Moving and Storage. His eyes would light up as he regaled those around him with stories of his adventures on the road.
Nothing brought Ronnie more joy than his two grandsons, Cameron and Brennen Gray. He took immense pride in watching them grow, enthusiastically cheering them on as they played football, basketball, and baseball. A devoted family man, Ronald’s love and support were unwavering.
In addition to his role as a loving grandfather, Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman. The great outdoors held a special place in his heart, and he found solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Known for his kindness and a good sense of humor, Ronald enjoyed making those around him laugh with his playful jokes and friendly banter.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Hostetler Stillwagoner, and his two sisters, Donna Sue Green and Shirley Talbort.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, remembered fondly by his wife, Sharon Bethann Heintz Stillwagoner, whom he married in a snowstorm on January 28, 1978. He will also be remembered with love by his daughter, Bunnie ,and her husband Derek Gray; his cherished grandsons, Cameron and Brennen Gray; his brothers, Jimmy (Darlene) Stillwagoner, and Dennis (Shari) Stillwagoner; and his sister, Debbie (Jim) Suttles.
A private visitation will be held at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
Cremation will follow at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home’s Crematory, 3219 Main Street Weirton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Madonna High School, 150 Michael Way, Weirton, WV 26062, where Ronnie enjoyed countless games cheering on his grandsons
