Rosalia Helen Vargo, 82, of Weirton, WV, passed away on February 3, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV. She was born on May 4, 1943, the only child of the late Joseph and Helen Varney Kallay.
Rosalia was a graduate of Weir High School and went on to earn her associate degree. She was employed in the Business Office at Weirton Steel until the birth of her first daughter, after which she devoted her life to being a homemaker.
On October 1, 1966, Rosalia married Larry E. Vargo. Together they were blessed with two daughters. Larry preceded her in death on January 3, 2001, following a massive heart attack, and from that day forward, a piece of Rosalia went with him.
In her free time, Rosalia enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing cards with her family. She was an avid, and loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins, and she especially cherished attending her grandchildren’s activities and events.
Rosalia nourished her faith at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.
She will be remembered with love by her daughters, Diane (Jeffrey) Wallace and Shelly (D.J.) Weber; and her grandchildren, Aurora, Andrew (Jasmine), and Austin Wallace, and Ryan and Isabella Weber.

Thank you! I recall Anita and John fondly. I still have the wedding card Anita had hand drawn for us.

To the family of Rosalie. We worked together at Weirton Steel and ran around back in the day. She was a lot of fun She could be very serious but whstbI remember most about her she was so proud of her mom and dad. Prayers going out to her family. I have sweet memories of her.
Thanks for posting. We appreciate. Her eldest daughter, Diane
