Rose Marie Gruda Waltz, 85 of Weirton, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville.
Born March 19, 1930, in Carnegie, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Powell) Gruda. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Waltz and brother Joe Gruda.
Rose Marie worked as a transporter at the Weirton Medical Center and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister Delores (Eugene) Strauss of Weirton, two nieces and two nephews.
Private Funeral Services were held by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton.

Rose was a kind and lovely lady. She and her husband, Bob, were good neighbors and so kind to my mother. What a lively personality. The neighborhood trio–Rose Waltz, Rose Kelly, and Rose Williams! May she be flying high with the angels.

We were so very sorry to hear of Rose’s passing. She and Mr. Juliano lived next door to us on Brightway and you couldn’t ask for nicer neighbors! My mom really missed her when she moved to Overlook! I’ll always cherish my memories of her…..
