Rosena I. Van Horn
August 15, 1914 ~ April 17, 2004
Rosena I. Van Horn, 89, of Weirton, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Weirton Geriatric Center.
She was born August 15, 1914 in Naomi, PA, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Arbuckel) Lutes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Copher Van Horn, and one son, Donald L. Van Horn, one brother, and four sisters.
Rosena retired with over 20 years of service from the Hancock County School system where she worked as a food server. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Volunteer Fire Department #1 Auxiliary, Easter Seals Society, and the Three Score Seniors.
Rosena is survived by one son, Roger Van Horn and his wife Gail of Weirton; one daughter, Jackie Hawkins and her husband Bob of Weirton; one daughter-in-law, Catherine Van Horn of Weirton; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday.
Rev. Bruce Ballantine will preside.
Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
