Rosina (Veltri) Naccarato, 91, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on April 19,2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Rosina was born on July 25, 1932 in Belmonte, Calabro, Italy. She is the daughter of the late Saverio and Anna Veltri, whom she loved dearly.
She was the oldest of 5 children. She came to the United States in 1962 when she was 30 years old.
Rosina was deeply religious and prayed to all her favorite saints for spiritual protection. She was always smiling and kind to anyone she met. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking (adding sprinkles to anything) and spending time with her beloved family. She had a magic touch to grow anything and calm any baby.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Naccarato, and her brother, Joseph Veltri. Surviving her are her brother, Frank Veltri and sisters Carmela Provenzano and Elena Sturino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom she treasured and treated like her own children.
Her family was very fortunate and blessed to have her in their lives and will treasure her smile and memories forever.
Private family visitation will be held at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 followed by a Public Mass and Christian Burial on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 229 California, Ave., Weirton, WV, with Reverend Tony Thurston as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN, 38101-9929.
