Ruth Virginia Yazevac

Ruth Virginia Yazevac, 77, of Weirton passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at the Brightwood Center, in Follansbee, WV. Born on February 20, 1937, in Reynoldsville, WV, Ruth was a daughter of the late Guy and Lucille Pernell Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Yazevac, Sr. on February 9, 1994; and her brother, James Guy Moore. Ruth worked for the City of Weirton for 17 years as a crossing guard and meter maid. After working for the city of Weirton, Ruth was employed with Dollar General, where she managed their Downtown Weirton Location for four years. Most of all, Ruth's family was her life. She is survived by her loving son and daughter, Samuel Yazevac, Jr. of Weirton, WV and Tammy Yazevac of Bridgeport, WV; her beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler Yazevac; and her sister, Jerry Heitt. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM on Sunday. Major Dave Dewan will preside.
