Scharmaine Fox 88 of Weirton passed away on December 25, 2022, in Providence Point Health Care Facility after a long illness. Born March 10, 1934, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Scharmaine was the daughter of the late Stidger Chambers and  Mayme McNicholas Chambers. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest B. Fox, son Timothy Blaine, her brother William Bradley, and her sister Mary Ellen Glasure. Scharmaine was a dedicated wife and mother who loved her family.
She was Catholic by faith and a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Church Scharmaine loved and respected life. She had the kindest soul, a cheerful spirit,and a way with everyone she met.

She loved and cherished anytime with her family, especially family get-togethers. She is survived by her children, Patricia Joann Fox-Henzler (Mark), Cynthia Mesler (Thomas), Barbara Beasley(Robin), John B. Fox, and Mary Margaret Everett (Richard). Scharmaine was a proud grandmother to Melissa Shetty (Atul), Amanda Alexander (Rob), Jonathan Mesler, Megan Moore (Bryon) Alicia, Alexis and Mark Henzler, Erica Everett; and proud great-grandmother to Hanna, Daniel, and Axel Alexander, Thomas Shetty, Evan, Colin, and Nolan Moore and Able Mesler as well as her sister Joyce Klingensmith.

Scharmaine’s family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4- 7 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday December 29, 2022, at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue Weirton.

The Very Rev Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr., V E will preside.

Interment will follow in Saint Paul’s Cemetery.

  3. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I knew her when she came in to get her hair done with Darlene. She was always kind to me and had a good sense of humor. She didn’t get around to well but she did the best she could. I would always help her out wherever she needed to do and go. She always talked about her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
