Sigmund Walter Perloski

Sigmund Walter Perloski, 89, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at his home. Born May 1, 1922, he was the son of the late Joseph and Valentina Perloski. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Theodore Perloski and brother-in-laws John Gryskevich and Mike Tomasovich. With over 25 years of service, Mr. Perloski retired from Weirton Steel. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the WSX 25-Year Club and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Perloski is survived by his wife Irene Mato Perloski of Weirton; brother Benjamin Perloski and his wife Maggie of Florida; sisters Genevieve Gryskevich and Wanda Tomasovich both of Weirton and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with Father Joseph Augustine officiating. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
