Sophia Brdar

Sophia Brdar, 87, of Charles Town, WV, formerly of Weirton, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 in the Shenandoah Center, Charles Town. Born January 24, 1924 in Dunglen, OH, she was a daughter of the late George and Mildred Tepovac Momcilovich. She was also preceded in death by her husband Milton Brdar on May 28, 2007 and daughter Mary Margaret Brdar Bahney on December 16, 2004.
Mrs. Brdar served as Produce Manager for the former Foodland Grocery Store and was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Sophia always enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Georgine Tedrow and her husband Gene of Macungie, PA; brother Pete Momcilovich of Weirton; sisters Dorothy Milosh of Weirton, Mary Belich of Monaca, PA and Mildred Subotich of Wisconsin; grandchildren Aaron Tedrow, Mary Margaret Taylor and Christopher Bahney and 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Saturday from 11am until the 12pm funeral service at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. The Very Reverend Father Rade Merick will officiate. Interment will be in the Holy Resurrection Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.

i am so sorry about your loss…my mom & dad loved Sophie & Moutie very much…I miss them all.
