Sophia K. Paul

Sophia K. Paul, 97, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her home. Born April 26, 1911 in Lansing, OH, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Mary Miller Kusic. She was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel M. Paul on May 5, 1994 and brothers Dan, Rudy and Sam Kusic.
Mrs. Paul was a homemaker, a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, AARP, the Lions Club and Hancock County Republican Women's Association.
Mrs. Paul is survived by her sister Mary Huff of Weirton; nieces and nephews Jeff Huff, Sam, Gary and Dan Kusic, Lavaughn Remenar and Carol Davis.
Friends will be received Friday, January 2, 2009 from 10 until the 11AM funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Interment will be in Paris Cemetery, Paris, PA.

Aunt Sophia – the last one! What a part of my young life and fond memories. I am Nick’s oldest and sad that they are all gone now. Hope they are having fun “up there” like I remember from the old days when they were young and carefree and times were so different.
