Sophia Marie (Starck) Fabian

Sophia Marie (Starck) Fabian, 89, of Weirton, died Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on April 15, 1913 in Carnegie, PA, a daughter of the late Adalbert Stasiak and Sophie Stasiak Brosky. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carl Fabian in 1983; a daughter, Dolores Cashdollar; six sisters, Katie Orsky, Helen Kansa, Mary Guter, Rose Soplinski, Anna Matheny, and Agnes Stasiak; and one brother, John Starck. Sophia was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Bailey and her husband Carl of Orlando, FL, and Jaqueline Zeigler and her husband Bob of Ocala, FL; a son-in-law, Bill Cashdollar of Weirton; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, followed by entombment at St. Paul Cemetery.
