I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother on March 19th. I just had surgery yesterday, so I will not be able to make it to the funeral home, and I really wanted to see you and your family. Your parents were special people. I have very fond memories of your Mom and Dad, when I was growing up. My name is Mary Orecchio and I am the daughter of Lefty and Verna Ostroski. I remember going to the Grand Café with my parents and also visiting you at your parent’s home, where I remember having a wonderful time. Lefty died in 1964, and Verna died in March 1985. My husband Tony died in 2000. We have 3 children, Anthony . Lisa and Michelle. Anthony has 2 children Nathan and Lindsay. I was a registered nurse at Weirton Medical Center and retired in 2009. I still live in Weirton. Again you are in my thoughts and have my deepest sympathies at this difficult time.
Sending our deepest sympathy for your loss. I remember picking up my dad at the bar after he got out of the mill and Pete or Stella offering me a coke. I was commuting to West Liberty and had to hurry back to Weirton and always appreciated that offer! I remember my mom (now 99) and Stella were always in the church kitchen with the other ladies making nut rolls, pierogies, etc.! May all your wonderful memories help get you through the days ahead! Memory Eternal! Chris (Lengyel) Greco and mom Irene Lengyel
So sorry for you loss. My prayers are with you.
