Stephanie Znoy Vucelich of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age of 97.

Born in Weirton on April 14, 1926, Stephanie was the daughter of Anna and Lawrence Znoy. After graduating from Weir High School in 1944, she worked as a telephone operator and eventual manager at the Weirton C and P Telephone Office. For many years she served as executive secretary to the president of A.O. Smith Company in Tipp City, Ohio.

On May 12, 1951, she married the love of her life, Michael Vucelich. They experienced 64 lovely years of marriage until Mike’s death in 2015.

Stephanie was also predeceased by brothers Joseph, Stanley, Michael, Louis, Edward, and Charles as well as her sister Helen Wetzel.

She is survived by her many nieces and nephews and her loving, caring friends and neighbors of Tipp City, Ohio.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and the funeral Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.

Father Bill Matheny will preside.

  1. Stephanie was a good neighbor and a devoted wife to Mike. I would especially like to thank Julia Garvey who was a loyal friend to the very end of her life here on earth To Stephanie. ….As were her close neighborhood friends. Now she will experience life in new way….God has called her home.

  2. I will miss Stephanie. She and Mike were backyard neighbors for over 50 years. I am thankful for her neighbor Marcella who called Stephanie often, Bob who mowed her lawn for many years, and Julia Garvey who was a true and faithful friend to Stephanie .
