Stephen Louis Sticco, 76, of Weirton, WV, died August 17, 2003 at the Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born June 18, 1927, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late John and Angelica Sticco. He was retired from Weirton Steel, where he was a millwright in the Strip Steel Department, and served as insurance director for 20 years. He was a member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Church, Knights of Columbus 3734, Sons of Italy, Four Seasons Club, a bocce team. He also served in the U.S. Army. Lou was very proud of his Italian heritage. He enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with his family. He was a big fan of his grandchildren’s sports and other activities. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose, Ann, and Maria, and a brother, August. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bella; four daughters; Maria of Pittsburgh, Lorraine Sticco Easton of Pittsburgh, Stephanie Sticco Gaich of Weirton, and Carolyn Sticco Ross of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Evan and Lauren Easton, Stephen Louis and Cara Gaich, Asa and Micah Ross. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon on Thursday at the Saint Joseph the Worker Church. Interment will follow in Saint Paul Cemetery.
