Steve R. Balog, Sr.

Steve R. Balog, Sr., 69, of Weirton, WV, died October 31, 2001, at
West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born September 5, 1932 in Weirton. He is the son of the late John S. and Julia Kotis Balog.
Steve was a retired supervisor from Weirton Steel Strip Steel Department with 40 years of service. He was also member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 25 Year Club, VFW, American Legion, Pleasant Valley Country Club, Weirton Elks and Funseekers. Steve served his country in the US Air Force in the Korean War.
Steve is survived by his wife, Bernice Soplinski Balog of Weirton, 2 sons: Joseph Balog and his wife Amy of Follansbee, and Steve and his wife Kim of Sterling, VA, one brother: Joseph Balog of San Benito, TX and 3 granddaughters: Carly of Follansbee, and Emily and Ashley of Sterling, VA
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2001, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St. Weirton, WV.
A prayer service will be held Friday 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass with liturgy will be Saturday November 3, 2001 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Mary Church.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside Services
