susan haga

Susan Ann Haga, 63, of Weirton, WV passed away on May 1, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, with her loving daughters at her side.

Susan was born in Weirton, WV, on January 24, 1961, to James and Phyllis Josefczyk Molchan, and shared her birthday with her twin sister, Sharon. Raised alongside her older sister, Cindy, Susan began her educational journey at Saint Joseph the Worker Grade School Weirton Madonna High and completed her high school years at Weir High graduating with the Class of 1979. After high school she attended West Virginia Northern Community College.

After graduating from High School and attending WVNCC, Susan and her sister Cindy boarded a bus to California, where fate introduced her to her future husband, Claude Levi Haga, Jr. Susan and Claude married on October 10, 1987, and were blessed with two daughters, Kameron Marie and Kandace Leigh. After some years in California, Susan and Claude returned to Weirton, where they made their home. Sadly, Claude passed away on February 20, 2005.

For over 20 years, Susan dedicated herself as an emergency room ward clerk at Weirton Medical Center, where her compassionate nature touched many lives. Her passions included camping at Tappan Lake with her family, cooking, and cherishing moments with her grand puppies, Nala, Colt, and Elsa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, James Molchan.

Susan leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her mother, Phyllis Josefczyk Molchan; daughters, Kameron Haga (fiancé Jason Coleman) and Kandace Weyand (T.J.); sisters, Cindy Molchan Pate (Juba) and Sharon Molchan Butto, her great uncle, Bill Molchan, and her treasured grand puppies, Nala, Colt and Else.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, followed by a funeral service at 7 PM.

Entombment will be at Saint Paul’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

  4. When I worked in housekeeping at Weirton Hospital and I would clean in the ER you made my day. You always spoke to me and said what a good job I did. You were the sweetest lady made me laugh and told me stories of your girls. Someone said 2024 is turning out to be awful and they were right. You definitely are an angel now.💕

  5. Candle Selection 6You were an amazing person who always made me laugh! You will be missed & thought about daily.

  6. Susan, I met you and Claude when you were living in Garden Grove, California, and the girls were little. I was living with my boyfriend Alvin, a Plumbing coworker of Claude’s , and we would spend many weekends together at your place, barbecuing, partying, just hanging out and enjoying time together. I still make your Suddenly Salad spaghetti salad recipe!
The girls and my kids Jesse and Brianna played together at my house in Anaheim, though they may not remember. Always remember your smile and your fast, but so special friendship! So sorry to hear you’re gone so soon. Prayers for your girls and the family.

  7. Candle Selection 5I’m so very sorry for your loss! Your mom was always so sweet to me. She would greet me with a smile every time I passed by her in the hallway.
