Susan Hrabovsky Krapa, 48, of Weirton lost her battle with diabetes on Monday January 2, 2011, at the Brightwood Nursing Home, where she had been residing for the past year. Born September 22, 1963, in Weirton, WV, Susan was a daughter of Michael Hrabovsky, and the late Patricia Ann Simko Hrabovsky. Susan was a 1981 graduate of Weir High School, where she played Trumpet in the Weir High Band, She enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, with her family, laying out by the pool, singing karaoke, and dressing up especially at Christmas. She is survived by her father, Michael (June) Hrabovsky of Maricopa, Arizona; her two daughters, Ashley (Chad) Anderson of Weirton, and Anna Krapa of Brilliant, OH; a brother, Michael Hrabovsky of Canton, OH; her two sisters, Joann (Doug) Virden of Marion, OH, and Carol Hrabovsky of Weirton; her three grandchildren, Izick, Juliana, and Khylee Anderson. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday. Captain Ed Long will preside. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV.
