Susan J. Adams

Susan J. Adams, 85 formerly of Weirton, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at the home of her daughter. Susan was born on September 26, 1915 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of the late John and Susanna Babinchak Janosov. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan, two brothers John and George Janosov. Susan worked as a tin flopper in the sorting room of the Weirton Steel tin mill for 25 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Steubenville and a member of the Mary of Bethany Guild, the Weirton Steel 25 year club. Her daughter,Mrs. Robert(Dolores) Guio, with whom she resided in Follansbee, WV and her three sisters Anna, Mary and Elizabeth and a brother Paul all of Slovakia, survive. Also surviving include her grandchildren, Mark Guio and his wife Anne of Weirton; Kacey Kurey and her husband Kevin of Stockbridge, GA; David and his wife Bertha of Powder Springs, GA and Kristian Guio of Follansbee; six great grandsons, Luke, Nathan, Adam, Gabriel, Karson and Kyle. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday at the Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Steubenville, OH, The Rev. Kenneth Greenwald will officiate.
