Theodore Clarence “Pa” McCoy, 79, of Chester, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Born on September 29, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, Theodore was a man whose kind heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Affectionately known as “Pa,” he was always ready with a joke, a smile, or a story that could brighten someone’s day.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Pa faithfully served his country before dedicating many years of service to his community. He worked for the New Cumberland Parks and Recreation Department before becoming the caretaker of New Cumberland Cemetery.
In his free time, Pa found enjoyment in reading, challenging himself with crossword puzzles, and sharing laughter with family and friends. While he appreciated life’s simple pleasures, nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. His greatest pride and deepest joy were his granddaughters, who held a special place in his heart.
In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandy Higgins McCoy, who passed away on March 5, 2021.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Joseph (Meggan) Jimboy, and by his granddaughters, Jordyn and Jaylnne Jimboy.
