Dear Sabol Cousins:
S\’nami Boh! God is with us!
Aunt Godmother Theresa was a prayer warrior for me throughout my life. When I was still in the official ministry as a priest she once said, \”I have prayed so much for you and now that you are a priest — even more. Don\’t you ever leave the priesthood for a woman!\” Well, although I left official ministry in the Roman Catholic Church, for my matters of conscience — not a woman or any other person — she truly was and remains a part of my Baptismal Priesthood as a faithful Catholic. Her prayers were never in vain.
As a matter of fact, her scoldings, her kisses, her jokes, her discussions and faith were never lived in vain.
Yesterday as I prepared mashed potatoes for my \”pagach,\” I recalled all the many Slavic Christmas Eve meals where she arrived with a kettle of mashed potatoes, whether it be at the basement on Thurman (Zdinak/Goglu residence) or on Wiley Ridge Road (Aunt Katy\’s) basement. {Who remembers the one year when the Sabol entrance was, \”Marry Christmas! Everybody\’s fighting!\”}
My mind floods with many memories of your Mom, Dad and all of you!
Working with the Transportation Security Administration here in Orlando International precludes my being able to travel to Weirton to physically be with you all.
May my most sincere thoughts and prayers be a consolation.
This year your parents are singing the Christmas Troparion: \”Rozdestvo Tvoje Christe Boze nas, … Hospodi slave Teb\’i\”
Your birth, O Christ our god has shed upon the world the light of knowledge,; for though it, those who worship the stars have learned from a star to worship You, the Sund of Justice and to recognize You as the Orient from on High. Glory be to You, O Lord!
Christos Razdajetsja! Slavite Jeho!

Blessings to all of you who came from such a marvelous woman. You are her legacy. I know you will miss her every day, but as we all know she loved Christmas. This year she will be celebrating with the angels along with Uncle Alex. I know she will be smiling on all of you and telling a good joke.
She was an amazing Aunt, and she always made my family feel welcome, everywhere we went.
God Be With All of You During This Time of Grief.

To the Sabol family, very sorry for your loss. I recall trips to Weirton on Christmas Eve, going from house to house visiting family. We saved the best for last, the home of Uncle Alex and Aunt Theresa. The entire house, inside and out, was decorated for Christmas. We had many good times there.
Our deepest sympathy to the Sabol Family on the passing of Aunt Theresa, and our deepest appreciation that she was a part of our lives. Aunt Theresa was more than family, she was a loyal friend and shining example of what it meant to be a good Christian woman and mother. Our mother and father valued the deep family ties and friendship shared over the years, and I am sure they were there to help welcome her Home when God called. Cherish the memories. Eternal memories. God bless Aunt Theresa and all who love her!
