Thyra L. "Bunny" McCullough, 81, of Weirton died Friday April 20, 2012, in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born on April 3, 1931, in Follansbee, WV, Bunny was a daughter of the late Thomas Sandy and Margaret Elizabeth Harvey Weatherhead, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene "Gene" McCullough in 1980; a son, Harold Robert "Bob" Henderson in 2003; four brothers, Thomas S. "Mickey", John Henry "Jack", William George "Bill", Daniel David "Dan" Weatherhead; and three sisters, Lorraine Schubenski, Emma Jean Hauck, and Sue Bucy. Bunny was employed as a cook in several area restaurants including, The Greenery, The Anchor Room, Jaggin Around, and Mario's Restaurant. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Magnone (Joseph) of Weirton, WV; Jennifer Carter, of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Albert Javorsky of Wellsburg, WV, and Lawrence Carter (Connie) of Lake Stevens, WA; a sister, Alma Robinson of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Heather, Garrett, Amanda, David, and Brandon; seven great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Sophia, Leandra, Noah, Dylan, Natalie, and Adam. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Rev. Fr. Dean Borgmeyer will preside. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, OH Memorial contributions may be made to the Weirton Geriatric Center Residence Fund 2525 Pennsylvania Avenue Weirton, WV 26062.   9. Cindy, Albert and family, Aunt Bunny was a wonderful person in my life, and sure was a great friend. She shared my late son’s (Robs) birthday. Both boys loved her so. We will always remember the great times at the cottage and her outstanding cooking. Prayers to you all.
