Troy James “T-Roy” Arango, 61, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, Ohio.
Born on May 22, 1964, he was the youngest of three children of the late Richard “Red” Arango and Patricia Banketas.
A graduate of the Weir High School Class of 1982, Troy later pursued his passion for welding, earning certifications from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. He built his career as a crane repairman and welder at Cleveland Cliffs, where he took pride in his craft.
Troy married the love of his life, Kathy, on July 13, 2013. The two were inseparable, true soulmates who did everything together. Whether attending concerts, or simply enjoying each other’s company, their love was evident to everyone who knew them. Kathy was not only Troy’s wife but his best friend, constant companion, and greatest joy.
Troy was a kind, funny, and soft-hearted man with a simple, country spirit. He loved riding his Harley, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, shooting pool, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He had a deep love for animals and was devoted to his cherished pets.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Arango.
He will be forever remembered with love by his wife, Kathy Gentile Arango; his son, Justin Arango; stepsons, Collin Pulice, Dawsen Tirabassi, and Stephen Tirabassi; sister, Lisa L. Arango; granddaughter, Aibhilin Pulice; nephew, Matthew Gonzales; nieces, Stephanie Lovechio and Vanessa Arango; and sister-in-law, Lauren Arango.
Troy’s request for cremation will be honored.
He will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

Forever remember childhood memories with my uncle Troy. Rest easy with grandpa Red and my daddy.
Please don’t be sad — he will never truly leave you. His love will stay with you always, in every quiet moment and every memory you hold close.
