Vaun L. Northcraft

Vaun L. "Mickey" Northcraft, 92, of Weirton, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. Born October 25, 1915 in Washington County, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie Edwards McPeek. Mickey was also preceded in death by her brothers Vansel G. and Edison McPeek and sisters Nellie Slack, Hazel Hutchison and Audree Freeman.
Mickey was a homemaker. Mickey's love of Christ and His church was her life. She was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons Vansel "Vance" Northcraft of Weirton and Marshal "Jay" Northcraft and his wife Debbie of Toronto, Ohio, sister Pearl Haught of Reynoldsburg, OH; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.
Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside services at 12PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the New Matamoras Cemetery, New Matamoras, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Weirton Heights Church of Christ, 3169 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. Mickey was a great lady. I fondly remember her visits to my mom’s home and her rhubarb pies. Mickey was a truly devoted Christian. She will be missed by many.
Mickey was a wonderful lady…I remember visiting her and Don, as I was growing up…we were second cousins…you always had to eat when you went to her house…she was a wonderful cook..especially remember her delicious pies…please accept my deepest sympathy…Marlene
Vance,Marshall and Family So sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. She truly was a wonderful Christian Lady. It was a joy to hear her sing the alto on so many of the wonderful hymns. Just think how happy she will be singing all thru eternity with the Master. Prayerfully the wonderful memories she left for you will take you thru the time of missing her.
