Virginia Lee Konnovitch, 76, of Weirton died Friday December 19, 2014, at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on June 23, 1938, in Moundsville, WV, Virginia was a daughter of the late John and Harriet Roberts Castilow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Konnovitch on July 30, 1985, and her sister, Judy Jones. Following her husband's death in 1985, Virginia went to work with Starvaggi Industries, where she worked for 14 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Weirton and the Red Hat Society. In her free time Virginia enjoyed walking, reading and watching sports on the television, especially baseball. Virginia is survived by her two sons, John Konnovitch of Weirton and Robert Konnovitch of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her two daughters, Sandy and Donald Breit of Castle Shannon, PA and Lee Ann and Daniel Hawthorne of Weirton, WV; and her three grandchildren, Meghan Hawthorne and Shawn and Erik Breit. Private funeral services will be held with her family at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Rev. Tim Conrad will preside. Since I am still recuperating from knee replacement surgery, I will not be able to journey to Weirton to see you all at this time. Aunt Virginia will be fondly remembered by family and friends.     I was shocked to learn of your mother\’s passing when I came to work this morning. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I only met your mother once when my mom and I came up to visit and she was so dear. It\’s a difficult time when we loose our mom\’s, my heart is broken for you but as I have learned, they have gone to paradise, where there is no more death or mourning or crying and no more pain. She may be gone from earth but she lives eternally in heaven. Prayers and blessings to you.
