Virginia Sokolowski 85 of Weirton passed away March 11, 2006 at Trinity East Medical Center in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born November 11, 1920 in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Alexander Konstantyn and Florence Zack Grishkevich. Her husband Peter S. Sokolowski; daughter Cynthia Barnhart; grandson Michael S. Sokolowski; brothers, Alexander (Red), Walter, and Paul Grishkevich also preceded her in death. Virginia was a housewife and a member of Weirton Seventh Day Adventist Church in Weirton. She is survived by her son Peter Sokolowski Jr. and his wife Joyce Najdecki of Weirton; daughter Lorraine V. Oehlke and her husband Harlen of Houston, TX; son-in-law Lester Barnhart of Weirton; sister Olga Grishkevich of Weirton; and grandson Jeffrey S. Sokolowski of Dallas, TX. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV where services will be held Tuesday 11:00AM in the funeral home with Elders Robert Wirgau and Bernie Bozenske officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV.
