Walter Alfred "Wally" Bachmayer

Walter A. “Wally” Bachmayer of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away at the Nazareth Living Center, in Saint Louis County Missouri, after a lengthy illness on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

He was ninety-seven years old.

Wally was born on June 8, 1925, in Harwich, England, one of three children born to Joseph and Alice Marskal Bachmayer.

He was a Catholic by faith and a graduate of Steubenville High School.

Wally retired from the Bechtel Organization as a Sr. Pipe Designer.

He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during World War II as a Marine Raider.

In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Frank Bachmayer and sister Rose Bachmayer.

Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Sandy Potts and Donna Lynch.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of his family.

Burial will be in Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
