wanda fazio
Wanda M. Fazio, 78, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville, OH. Born June 29, 1930 in Holliday's Cove, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Mary Ellen Porter Martin. Mrs. Fazio was also preceded in death by her son Michael D. Fazio. With 36 years of service, Wanda retired from Weirton Steel where she worked as an administrative assistant in the Steel Works Department. She was a member of the Cove Presbyterian Church where she was past elder, clerk of sessions and a member of the choir. She was a member of Junior AREMA Club, AARP and Three Score Seniors. She also served as Past Matron of the Weirton Chapter 147 Order of the Eastern Star. Wanda loved to travel and do needlepoint projects for her family and friends. Wanda is survived by her husband Frank Michael Fazio of Weirton; daughter Josephine Hughes and her husband Dennis of Bellaire, OH and grandchildren Tammy J. and Tiffany N. Fazio. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where Weirton Chapter 147 O.E.S. services will be held at 7PM. Additional visitation will be held Saturday, October 18, from 10 until the 11AM funeral services at the Cove Presbyterian Church. Reverend Ed Rudiger will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Cove Presbyterian Church, 3404 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062. She always had a smile on her face and when i talked to her you could hear her smile. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her.
