Wayne P. McIntyre
August 13, 1939 ~ May 31, 2007
Wayne P. McIntyre, 67, of Weirton, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 31, 2007 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born August 13, 1939 in Alvy, WV, he was the son of the late Paul and Leota Wright McIntyre.
In 1994, with 36 years of service, Wayne retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a crane operator in the Sheet Mill. He served as Steward/Committeeman for the ISU, was a member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church, WSX 25-Year Club and the Weirton Moose Lodge 688. An avid golfer, Wayne was a member of the Mountaineer Golf Course and coached for the Weirton Baseball Association and in February, 1989, he was honored by the Upper Ohio Valley Dapper Dan Club for his WV Senior League Baseball Championship.
Wayne’s survivors include his wife Karen (Shultz) McIntyre of Weirton; sons Phillip W. McIntyre and his wife Heather of Olney, MD and Jeff P. McIntyre and his wife Carolyn “Cari” of New Manchester, WV; sisters Carol Ann Aston and her husband Ronald and Mary Alice DiBacco and her husband Tony all of Weirton; grandchildren Phillip Joseph and Julia Grace McIntyre; several nieces and nephews and special friend Pastor Curt Watkins.
The family will receive friends Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday with Mrs. Ralph Isobell Bell presiding. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

I worked in the Sheet Mill with Wayne for quite a while.. He was a good person and will be remembered..
