William Dean Ellenberger

William Dean Ellenberger, 60, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home.
He was born March 7, 1956 in Weirton, a son of Olive J. (Tate) Ellenberger Skinner and the late William A. Ellenberger. He was also preceded in death by his step-father Donald Skinner and sister Ronda "Diane" McAfee.
William worked for the US Army Corp of Engineers for 37 years. He proudly served his country in the 101st Airborne Division. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed golfing, traveling and watching his favorite sports teams, the Steelers and Penguins.
He is survived by his loving wife Audrey (Socha) Ellenberger of Weirton, three sons Brian (Lisa) Ellenberger of Woodstock, GA, Aaron (Stephanie) Ellenberger of Steubenville and Matthew (Briana) Ellenberger of Portland, OR; grandchildren Sydney, Cassie, Paige, Caden and Evan Ellenberger, brother Harry Ellenberger, sister Katherine (Sam) Licata as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday.
Pastor Jerry Ernst will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
