William E. Dick 71 of Weirton passed away October 11, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born June l6, 1932 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, the son of the late John F. and Jane Findon Dick. A brother John Dick also preceded him. William was Protestant by faith. He retired with 30 years of service, in the Quality Control Department of Weirton Steel Co, where he was an analyst, and a member of the 25 year club of the Weirton Steel Co. William was a US Navy Veteran. William is survived by his wife Lois Smurthwaite Dick of Weirton. He has five sons, Thomas Hickey of Weirton, Donald Hickey and his wife Lisa of Weirton, William, David and Jack Dick all of Ohio. He has four daughters Melinda Hart and her husband Richard of Spring, TX, Brenda Hickey of Follansbee, WV, Dyane Dick of Pittsburgh, PA, and Caryn Gutwald of NC. He has four grandchildren Danielle Hickey, Jessica and Joanna Hart, and Brice Hickey and one great grandson Christopher Wood. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 13, 2003 from 7-9PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV where funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:30AM with Pastor Craig Greathouse officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton WV.
