Yvonna Dee "Vonnie" Visnich

Yvonna Dee "Vonnie" Visnich, 78, of Weirton passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born July 23, 1936 in Colliers, WV, she was a daughter of the late William S. Beatty and Margaret Mechling Beatty Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her infant son William Eugene Visnich in 1961, step-father John Hayes and brothers Eugene and Bill Beatty. When Vonnie was 53 years old, she graduated from WVNCC with a degree in Nursing Science and passed her nursing boards in 1993 and became an RN. She owned and operated a personal care home. Vonnie loved her flowers and her faithful companion Sampson, a pure bred German Shepherd. She is survived by her daughters Sherry Lynne Culler (Chuck) of Weirton and Michelle Susan Evanson (Joseph) of Clearwater, FL; three granddaughters Rachel and Connie Culler and Michelle McKimmie; five great-grandchildren Kayla Culler, Coty Brown, Mychelle, Marcus and Mariah Jenkins and a great-great-granddaughter Rylan Zahara Roth. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11am until the 1pm funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
