Alice Greer

Alice Greer, 82, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born August 22, 1928 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Jack Ann Morgan Lawrence. She was also preceded in death by her brother William Lawrence and sister Jean Ferrarni.
Mrs. Greer was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Covenant Church.
Alice is survived by her husband Robert O. Greer of Weirton; sons Lawrence O. Greer and his wife Bette of Wilmington, NC and Gordon K. Greer of Follansbee, WV; daughters Margaret Howard and her husband Steve of Pinellas Park, FL, Robin Ann DeCaria and her husband Charlie of Weirton and Lorraine Greer of Osprey, FL; sister Margaret "Peggy" Lawrence of Steubenville, OH; ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday from 3-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 11am Friday. Pastor James Foglio will officiate. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

To the Greer Family, I was so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. Gordon and I went to school together and I have know Eric for many years. Please accept my heart felt condolence in this time of need and I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
May knowing that all of you are in the hearts and thoughts of others help you and yours through this time of sorrow. Although no words can really help to ease the loss that all of you bear, just know that all of you are very close in every thought and prayer. sorry to hear of your loss. i have a lot of fond memories of your mom. thoughts and prayers are with you all. im glad i got to see her at geriatric center three or four weeks ago, and got to make her laugh.
