antonio conforti
Antonio Francesco Conforti, a perfect husband, father, and Nonno, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, after a brief bout with pneumonia. He was 68 years old. Born in Belmonte, Calabria, Italy, on September 12, 1953, the second-born child of Giuseppe and Maria Pulice Conforti. At the age of 16, he traveled to the United States with his aunt and uncle. He started a 46-year career with Starvaggi Industries, starting out as painter he displayed the hard work he would be known for, eventually became a mechanic and working whatever was needed to forge a new life in his new country. In 1975 he traveled back to Italy to visit his parents. During his visit, he got engaged and married to, the love of his life, Teresa Stancati all in one month. Teresa was able to join Antonio back in the United States, and three years later they were blessed with the first of their three beautiful daughters. In their 46 years of marriage, they were blessed with three beautiful, strong daughters Maria, Angela, and Rosanna and three beautiful grandchildren, without a doubt his most cherished accomplishment. Antonio worked three jobs most of his life to care for and provide for his family. With that hard work Antonio and Teresa were able to provide everything for their daughters and set the example for the family to follow. Antonio enjoyed working in his garden in his free time, and he cherished every minute with his family. He was Nonno to Evie, Gregory, and Cecilia and anyone who saw him with them knew that Nonno was by far his favorite job. His family and friends will remember him as caring, hardworking, and generous. There is nothing that he wouldn’t do for someone and always made everyone feel like family. Antonio was preceded in death by his parents. He will be remembered with love and admiration by his wife, Teresa; his three daughters, Maria (George) Petrus, Angela (Duane) Frazier, and Rosanna (Adam) Bechtold; his grandchildren, Evie Frazier, Gregory Antonio and Cecelia Petrus; and his sister, Anna Curcio Visitation will be Thursday from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.
