Arthur E. Alrutz, 79, of Weirton, passed away Friday, October 07, 2005 at his home. Born July 23, 1926 in Cross Creek, PA, he was the son of the late George and Esta Kraeer Alrutz. Arthur was also preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Walter. With 33 years of service, Arthur retired from National Steel where he worked as a buggy driver in the Tin Mill. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Follansbee and the WSX 25-Year Club. Arthur loved the outdoors and was an avid bowler. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Arthur’s survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Barbara (Mahan) Alrutz; daughter Becky Glover and her husband Mike and grandson Michael John Glover all of Weirton. Friends will be received Sunday 1-3 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM on Monday with Rev. Colleen Molinaro presiding. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee.
