  1. Mart, Adam, Stan, Sue, Nat, Ash, Dom & Family, I am so very, very sorry to learn of Bert’s passing. My heart hurts for all of you. She was certainly a generous & caring lady and one-of-kind! 3. I am saddened to hear this. Bertha was so kind and such a sweet lady and very efficient. I especially remember talking with her during Holy Week. First Christian Church holds. 24-hour prayer vigil beginning Maundy Thursday thru Good Friday. I would call the WPD to make them aware that there would be people in the church building during the overnight hours. When I called, Bertha would say, “I knew you would be calling. I already have it marked down.” She was my classmate and a friend. Rest In Peace, Bertha. My sincere condolences and prayers for her family. 🙏❤️🙏

  10. To all of the Simich family, well, where do I begin? Well, to begin, I became employed by the City of Weirton in January of 1977, and I had the pleasure of being introduced to Ms. Bertha Simich, one of the kindness, gracious, friendly, lady I could ever be so happy to call one of my BEST friends, It all started then and up until I retired in 2006, we were so close. Every holiday, every tear, every laughter, Bertha was right there for me and beside me. I loved her like a sister. She never forgot my children, who, at that time were 6 years old and 2 years. She thought the world of my children and always remembered them at every occasion. Then when they grew older, married, and had their children; Bertha was so happy for all of us and loved us all very much. I think I could go on and even write a book, but as Bertha was so private, so was I. You all know how I felt about her and I cherished her friendship. No one knows how much I will miss her; and she’ll always be in my heart. God Bless You All and if you ever need anything or just need to talk; please call or come see me. All my Love, Sally
